Bubble Tea

Tea Fusion opened up by my house two months ago. I must have spent over $100 on bubble tea. It’s too irresistible!

They’re so sugary yet so delicious! I attempted to make my own healthy bubble tea. Complete failure that was. Still have tapioca left over though. I’ll try to make it again and let you in on it.

I only drink smoothie bubble tea. Different bubble tea shops or restaurants have different ways of making it. I usually get strawberry to be safe, but not all strawberry bubble tea taste good. Tea Fusion has the best lychee and honeydew bubble tea!

Other than cake, bubble tea is the one thing I can’t give up during the summer. Plan bikini bod will have to wait! And did you hear… Ku Hye Sun loves bubble tea!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

First time I saw the trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, I thought it was just a commercial to make people laugh. I really didn’t think they were serious about it. Just like Cowboys vs. Aliens. Really? Cowboys and Aliens?

I went to the midnight showing. I could’ve stayed at TGIF and played blingo to win $400, but I went to see Abraham. GRRRR! This had better be good!

I doubted the film because Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 36%. Then again, the last time they gave a movie a good rating, I was disappointed. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire hunter was pretty good.

The Actors and Actresses were really good. There was this cheesiness in all the fighting that made it oddly funny. It reminded me of movies made in the 90s.

If you’re an ignorant person who can’t easily be humored than don’t go watch. You’ll just ruin the movie with your stinky attitude. All others, you’ll enjoy it.

Sister Sister

Sister Lee’s birthday is today, but I love to call her Leelee. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEELEE! Wuv you very much! Leelee is as old as me now… she was born in less than 346 days after me. Not even a year!

Out of the four sisters I have, Leelee is the one I am closest to. And she’s the youngest of the bunch. But I am ashamed to say that it is I who acts like the youngest. Leelee is just much more mature.

Leelee and I shared so many secrets. We have our own inside jokes. Never mad at each other for long. Causing a ruckus everywhere we went.

We had what I always thought as ‘calm before the storm’. Every night we were the last to eat dinner and at every dinner we had a food fight! I’ll never forget that rice that stuck next to her eye. It was the funniest joke of all.

When it was my turn to step up and be the older sister, Leelee took that burden from me. She stood up for me when people yelled at me. She took beatings from others for me. Always protecting me.

When is it going to be my turn!?

Justin Bieber is having his Believe tour! He is going to be at the Target Center on October 20^th! I want to go see him so bad!

So I looked up the tickets and they were around the thousands, THOUSANDS! Ohhhh-kay, the good seats were around the thousands. Hey, I really want good seats okay~! I just want him to give me one glance, ONE GLANCE! Is it too much to ask for?

I use to go downtown all the time, now I only go about once every two months? So happens that when I stop going, all the celebrities start showing up! My friends have met Derrick Williams, Ricky Rubio AND Justin Bieber! My friend was dancing right next to Justin Bieber, RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! ARGH!

So tell me… when will it be my turn to meet someone I admire?

Jiro Wang

My high school friend, Ia, has always told me about Jiro. She was convinced he was the hottest man to ever walk planet Earth! We would argue about this for hours. As hard as it is for me to say this, I must admit for Jiro’s sake, she was right.

I would tell Ia that Jiro wasn’t as great as she made him out to be, but I never knew how he looked like. He starred in It Started with a Kiss. One of my all-time favorite, I must have watched it like a hundred times! Anyway, Jiro wasn’t the main male lead, but he did overshine the actor who was playing the male lead. And I never knew that he was Jiro! Because I didn’t care enough for a supporting role!

Why did I wait so long to figure out who he was? I should’ve just googled him the instance Ia brought him up. My stubbornness overcame me and I am ashamed. I am ashamed I didn’t listen to her earlier.

Let’s put all that behind us though. The past is the past and there is no point dwelling in it. I will now take an oath, that from this very moment on, I will forever be one of Jiro’s Rockbaby!

Absolute Boyfriend

There’s this Taiwanese drama I have been crazy over. Love Taiwanese drama BTW! And of course, as titled, it’s called Absolute Boyfriend.

I wait every Sunday night to see it. But waiting can make a person go crazy so subtitle or not, I am pressing play! I watch the entire series and mouth each character with my own words. Whenever the forums post spoilers, I never miss a chance to read them, because I am just-that-desperate!

I love every one of the volunteers who work really hard on uploading and subbing the videos each week. So thankful for having THE BOYFRIEND TEAM! It really frustrates me when someone comments and says things like “The video isn’t working, can you hurry and re-upload it.” Or “Fix the videos!”

The uploaders have a life too, it just so happens that they are not online the same time you are on and if they knew, of course they would’ve fixed the videos. Nicer way of letting them know would be “The video isn’t working :( ” TADAH! Loving fan in desperate need of watching the video without being rude!

I give this drama FIVE STARS! It’s not even done airing yet! I am speechless. You just have to watch it to know what I’m talking about.

Short summary of Absolute Boyfriend:

Xaio Fei (Ku Hye Sun) has been rejected by every guy she has ever approached. One day Xiao Fei meets a strange salesman, Lei Wu Wu (Na Wei Xun), who gives her a business card to their website. She orders a personalized android called Nightly (Jiro Wang). As Xaio Fei and Nightly begans to fall in love, her childhood friend, Zhong Shi (Kun Da), confesses that he has always liked her. Who will Xaio Fei choose in the end, robot Nightly or human Zhong Shi… DUN DUN DUN!

An Early Father’s Day Celebration

We all know how much my parents looooove the buffet. So here we are, celebrating Father’s Day at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet. Yum-o!

My daddy use to pack me and my younger sister, Leelee, food for our fieldtrips. This was way back in grade school. He would always make fried rice. I love fried rice to the point that I can eat it every day! I figured he must have known that.

During our lunch break, I would take Leelee to hide and eat our food. Not because I didn’t want to share, but because I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed that we were the only ones without a school lunch. Leelee was different, she showed it off to everyone. So much for hiding…

There was a field trip one day and Leelee wasn’t there with me. So I hid the food daddy packed and told my teacher I forgot my lunch. Later that day I went home, ran into my room, and stuffed my face with fried rice. I teared up as I shoved it in my mouth because it was the best thing I ate that day.

I know, I know… I’m a pretty great aunt, but that’s not what I meant. My niece just had a baby. Making me, a great-aunt!

Caius Thao was just born two days ago and to whom? My lovely witto niece, Nancy Lor. Yes yes, my oldest sister’s daughter. Not as little as you may think, she’s 20 years old!

Doesn’t make sense? Is it confusing? Well, my oldest sister is in her 40s. I am actually the third youngest in the family or should I say the seventh oldest? Nine kids in the family. I have a total of four brothers and four sisters. Huge family, but I love it.

Okay, back to Caius. He’s 7lbs and super tiny! KAWAII! I would load this page with all his photos, but wouldn’t it be better if you just go to my Facebook and view them? Okay, I won’t be greedy with it. I will upload at least half of them.

I wonder what that feeling feels like. You know, the feeling of seeing your newborn baby. In movies the mother cries and the father’s face lit up. I wonder if that’s how it is.

Whenever I ask fathers what their feelings were when they first saw their newborn. They would put out their arms as if they were reliving the moment and say nothing. Not a thing! They can’t even begin to put it into words. Wow~, it’s that great of a feeling…

I wish I could feel it too, but no kids for me at the moment. I can only try to imagine what it would be like. I don’t know if I can handle a mini me yet. Double trouble!
