First Camping Trip

About to leave on my first camping trip. I still have to run to the store and grab last minute items. Didn't know packing would be this frustrating.

I'm excited because it's my first time. Also nervous because I don't know what to expect. Bach and his friends has been telling me over exaggerated camping stories.

The only thing I know I will absolutely hate would be the BUGS! This is my chance to find out if I can actually tolerate it. Thinking about buying my very own clip-on mosquito repellent.

Thunder

I've never been too fond of thunder. I can bear with it if someone was around. But by myself... *cries hysterically*

It rained and thundered all morning. And for some reason the thunder song came up. You know, the one from Ted.

This is hilarious! Ted is so funny! I kept singing the thunder song and it actually helped. I just didn't do the fart at the end.

Went to the midnight showing of Ted. The same night Magic Mike premiered. All the girls came in chatting about Magic Mike and all the guys were like "What the fuck is Magic Mike!?" I wish I went to Magic Mike with my girls.

So when it's thundering outside and you're scared... FUCK YOU THUNDA~

Ranma 1/2

Too much anime and drama lately. I need to talk about them all. Time to annoy you to death.

I suddenly went back to watch Ranma 1/2. Oh em gosh! Use to be so crazy about this anime. I would dream about being Akane and sit around drawing Ranma.

Ranma 1/2 is about, well of course, a boy named Ranma. An accident happened during one of his training journey. Ranma is cursed to become a girl when splashed with cold water and returns back to normal when splashed with hot water. Etc etc. You'll just have to watch it.

It came out before I was even born! Bringing back so much childhood memories. It was harder to find all the episodes and movies back then. Now, I can watch it all at once!

I think Jiro can play him pretty well if they ever decide to make a Taiwanese drama from it. 

Bu Bu Jing Xin

It's one of the greatest drama of ALL TIME! Even if you find yourself not interested in olden day Chinese dramas, I assure you, YOU WILL like this one. Even Bach watched a couple of episodes with me.

Long story short. Modern day 25-year-old woman woke up after a car accident to find herself in the body of a16-year-old girl living during the 18th century Qing Dynasty. As she tries to find a way back home and adjust to the new lifestyle, she gets herself entangled in the lives of the Aisin Gioro princes battle for the throne.

Epic right? Sorry guys, there isn't much fighting. The thing to love about this drama is the love story. The actress and actors play each character so well!

Okay okay. I'll be honest. I'm more obsessed about Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi acting in it. Props to Shen Lei for dubbing Nicky Wu's voice. In the movie Nicky Wu was a whole new character.

My Very Own

A couple of days ago I was on Liz’s Facebook page. She had just bought her own domain name! I thought to myself… why haven’t you bought yourself a domain name?

I’ve always thought about it, but I never knew where to start. Where do I go? How much is it? Etc. etc.

Bach told me to go to namecheap.com. Whaaaaa!? It’s not spendy at all! I’ve always thought it was going to be expensive.

I have this idea rolling around in my head about what my website should be. Boom! Boom! Boom! Lightbulbs going off.

But you know, thinking of a unique domain name is harder than you think. OH EM GOSH! And less are available than you know.

You must be curious. Not going to tell you!

The Dark Knight Rises

is SA-WEEEEEET!

Even though half way through I didn't understand what was going on, I still loooooved it! I haven't watched the first Batman. Or maybe I did and forgot. Don't know.

I would so take my little nephews and go watch it again. And again. And again. And AGAIN!

I was a little hesitant about Anne Hathaway being Catwoman. I just couldn't picture it. Too use to seeing her as a princess in The Princess Diaries. Talking about that, I think I'm going to go watch The Princess Diaries. But! Anne Hathaway did pretty good.


I would so love to spoil everything. But you will hate me and I wouldn't want that to happen. Seriously though, it was sooooooo cool!

Blonde Again

Ah! Yes! I went blonde! It’s the second time I went blonde. Missed it.

I got my hair done at PCI Academy for $50. So cheap! I know!

First off, I bought a $75 gift card for $56. Then I got 20% off for referring Bach. Along with all that, the treatment that day was $8 instead of $11. STEAL!!!

Doua did my hair. She was referred to me by my sister. And she’s also my sister-in-law. Doua dyed my hair the first time around and it turned out BEAUTIFULL! So of course I would go back. Totally recommend her!

Bach’s first time EVER getting his hair cut by someone other than his mom and me. I was so happy that he wanted me to choose the haircut. I chose a Won Bin haircut. Tsk tsk.

Doua did a fantastic job on his hair. And he LOVED it! I loved it too. Reminded me of Won Bin! LOL! Sooo handsome!

My roots are already growing in on me! I am scheduled to go in again in August. I’m also going to request to go even blonder!

Step by Step

There was a fundraiser for Liz on Friday, July 13^th. Everyone raised up to $2,000 for her. I had an input of $10. I’m also thinking about transferring money to her paypal donation website. Hey! $10 is still something!

Liz is a girl I met during the Ricebowl held at the Uof M. She and I were on the same team. Team SIP!

I would also like to say, I believe I was the only girl to talk to Liz first. Okay, maybe not the only one, but one of the few. Liz is a BEAST at flag football!

So during the Ricebowl, a douchebaggish guy broke Liz’s leg. OMO! I don’t even remember what happened! He’s probably not an ass or anything, but he still broke her leg! The only thing I remember was hearing her bones cracked. Team SIP at the time stopped worrying about what was going on in the field and ran over to Liz.

AHHHH! Team SIP! What a great family!

Liz is now burdened with $35,000 in medical bills. Of course we won’t let her go through it alone! $2,000 down and $33,000 more to go!

I had a great time with team SIP! It’s nice to know that many of the people on SIP saw everyone as a family. Maybe it’s because we all bonded through keeping each other warm that day with the penguin technique.

When the idea of a fundraiser came up, I didn’t think much of it. And so when it was about to happen, I found myself actually putting in effort to make people go. Maybe it’s the thought of doing something good for someone. Or that other people put in hard work to make it happen.

I hate meeting nice people. They make me feel like a villain. Liz is a really nice girl. When I first met her, I was a bit jealous of her football skills. But she was helping me out with whatever I didn’t understand. How can someone be so nice!?

Twenty-three

My birthday was on Sunday, July 15^th. I had a family dinner with my family on Friday evening. Barely anyone showed up!

Let’s see, I don’t think I missed a family birthday this year. Besides Alec’s and Kai’s, but I have something special planned for them. Hopefully, I didn’t miss anyone else’s birthday.

Anyway, to the point. I have gone to every one of their family birthday celebration and none of them came to mines. The only family member that showed up was Leelee. Even Dee, her boyfriend, came.

I’ve thought long and hard about this and I have made up my mind. For the rest of the year I will keep attending family birthday celebrations. But! When next year comes, I will no longer care for any of it. And none of them are invited to my birthday! It doesn’t sound that cruel, does it?

OH EM GEE! I’m so happy though! I stayed in ALL Monday! Feel so rested and energized!

My Teddy Turns 24 Today!

It's Bach's birthday today. Bach's my high school sweetheart. We've been together for over six years!

Six years and we didn't even celebrate our sixth year together. It's okay. I'll make sure our seventh is a memorable one.

Six years ago on May 31^st, Bach came running to my first hour class. He stood by the door and asked for me. Bach usually talks to me before class, but that morning I couldn’t find him. I figured he must have skipped.

Mr. Johnson, my English teacher, teased me about a boy with roses waiting for me outside the room. Mr. Johnson was a jokester, it was hard to believe everything he said. All I could think of was, “who could possibly be looking for me?”

Walking out of the room I saw Bach. “Bach?” I said with a confused look, “The bell is about to rang, you’re going to be late to class.” He pulled out from behind him a bushel of roses and a paper. I don’t even remember what he said. All I remember was watching him run as fast as he can to class when the bell rung.

On the paper it read: A dozen roses for a dozen reasons why I like you. I’m not going to put the rest down on here. But the twelfth reason asked: Would you be my girlfriend?

Oh my goodness, my heart dropped! I’ve had a crush on Bach for over two years! I saw him every day before and after math class. He always had those thick glasses and a plain white tee with a pair of jean. I don’t know if it was those broad shoulders or those dark chinky eyes that got me. But he sure was handsome.

That’s only the good part of the story. We don’t need to know about the bad part. Unless you want to know… Lol.

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY TEDDY! I LOVE YOU! MWAHS!

Computer Science

Like I said yadee yadah… I am a Computer Science major. I switched my major four times already! But I am serious this time. Serious.

One day I woke up and thought, “Why not Computer Science?” It wasn’t that simple though. I put a lot of thought into it beforehand. We don’t need to get into details though.

I have a hard time memorizing things. The Computer Science classes were different though. I remembered a lot of the things I learned. That’s when I knew it was right for me.

I would like to be able to work for myself. Then again, working at a large company wouldn’t be bad either. I still have years ahead of me to plan for.

I do have a problem though. How can Computer Science come in handy during an alien invasion or zombie apocalypse? As a nurse, you’ll be able to help out the wounded etc. As a scientist, you’ll be able to do research etc. What the hell would I do?

Patching Up

My first laptop was a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6965. LOVED IT! The only complaint I had was the design on it. I wish it came in pink instead.

I still bought the laptop for $800. You don’t understand! I bought this thing about 3 or 4 years ago! It was such a great deal!

 A505-S6965 has 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. What sold it to me was the LED backlight. Simply AMAZING!  And the keyboard came with the num lock keys.

The hard drive crashed twice and so I had it replaced both times. It was free with the 1 year warranty. Toshiba has the best customer service. If I had to purchase another laptop again, it will only be through them.

The hard drive crashed again. Guess what? I didn’t extend the warranty. Couple years later, I bought a Western Digital 500 GB hard drive. TADAH! Works like new!

It’s always worth it to spend a considerable amount of money on a laptop. Unless you you have the money, stay away from Apple laptop and computers. Seriously? A 13” laptop with 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive for over a $1,200!

The only reason I will buy an Apple laptop or computer is to be able to test software on its operating system. Business reasons. I am a Computer Science student, hopefully that would make more sense.

My laptop is beautifully working. Now I just need to pretty it up. Skins are too spendy. I’ll tackle this project and post photos later. Can’t wait!

Bubble Tea

Tea Fusion opened up by my house two months ago. I must have spent over $100 on bubble tea. It’s too irresistible!

They’re so sugary yet so delicious! I attempted to make my own healthy bubble tea. Complete failure that was. Still have tapioca left over though. I’ll try to make it again and let you in on it.

I only drink smoothie bubble tea. Different bubble tea shops or restaurants have different ways of making it. I usually get strawberry to be safe, but not all strawberry bubble tea taste good. Tea Fusion has the best lychee and honeydew bubble tea!

Other than cake, bubble tea is the one thing I can’t give up during the summer. Plan bikini bod will have to wait! And did you hear… Ku Hye Sun loves bubble tea!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

First time I saw the trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, I thought it was just a commercial to make people laugh. I really didn’t think they were serious about it. Just like Cowboys vs. Aliens. Really? Cowboys and Aliens?

I went to the midnight showing. I could’ve stayed at TGIF and played blingo to win $400, but I went to see Abraham. GRRRR! This had better be good!

I doubted the film because Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 36%. Then again, the last time they gave a movie a good rating, I was disappointed. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire hunter was pretty good.

The Actors and Actresses were really good. There was this cheesiness in all the fighting that made it oddly funny. It reminded me of movies made in the 90s.

If you’re an ignorant person who can’t easily be humored than don’t go watch. You’ll just ruin the movie with your stinky attitude. All others, you’ll enjoy it.

Sister Sister

Sister Lee’s birthday is today, but I love to call her Leelee. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEELEE! Wuv you very much! Leelee is as old as me now… she was born in less than 346 days after me. Not even a year!

Out of the four sisters I have, Leelee is the one I am closest to. And she’s the youngest of the bunch. But I am ashamed to say that it is I who acts like the youngest. Leelee is just much more mature.

Leelee and I shared so many secrets. We have our own inside jokes. Never mad at each other for long. Causing a ruckus everywhere we went.

We had what I always thought as ‘calm before the storm’. Every night we were the last to eat dinner and at every dinner we had a food fight! I’ll never forget that rice that stuck next to her eye. It was the funniest joke of all.

When it was my turn to step up and be the older sister, Leelee took that burden from me. She stood up for me when people yelled at me. She took beatings from others for me. Always protecting me.

When is it going to be my turn!?

Justin Bieber is having his Believe tour! He is going to be at the Target Center on October 20^th! I want to go see him so bad!

So I looked up the tickets and they were around the thousands, THOUSANDS! Ohhhh-kay, the good seats were around the thousands. Hey, I really want good seats okay~! I just want him to give me one glance, ONE GLANCE! Is it too much to ask for?

I use to go downtown all the time, now I only go about once every two months? So happens that when I stop going, all the celebrities start showing up! My friends have met Derrick Williams, Ricky Rubio AND Justin Bieber! My friend was dancing right next to Justin Bieber, RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! ARGH!

So tell me… when will it be my turn to meet someone I admire?

Jiro Wang

My high school friend, Ia, has always told me about Jiro. She was convinced he was the hottest man to ever walk planet Earth! We would argue about this for hours. As hard as it is for me to say this, I must admit for Jiro’s sake, she was right.

I would tell Ia that Jiro wasn’t as great as she made him out to be, but I never knew how he looked like. He starred in It Started with a Kiss. One of my all-time favorite, I must have watched it like a hundred times! Anyway, Jiro wasn’t the main male lead, but he did overshine the actor who was playing the male lead. And I never knew that he was Jiro! Because I didn’t care enough for a supporting role!

Why did I wait so long to figure out who he was? I should’ve just googled him the instance Ia brought him up. My stubbornness overcame me and I am ashamed. I am ashamed I didn’t listen to her earlier.

Let’s put all that behind us though. The past is the past and there is no point dwelling in it. I will now take an oath, that from this very moment on, I will forever be one of Jiro’s Rockbaby!
